Title: Parts Sales Representative

J&J Truck Equipment is looking for a Parts Sales Representative to sell replacement parts and perform post-delivery customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other job-related duties may be assigned in compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities include sales of stock replacement parts, manufactured replacement parts & aftermarket equipment.
Must be able to read blueprints and capable of performing takeoffs & estimating.
Will develop quotes for repair work.
Strong mechanical aptitude necessary, familiarity with J&J products a plus.
Strong computer skills & familiarity with MS Office are necessary.
Must have excellent phone and customer service skills.
Read catalogs, or computer displays to determine replacement part stock numbers and prices.
Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, drawings, work orders, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions.
Receive and fill telephone orders for parts.
Fill customer orders from stock.
Prepare sales slips or sales contracts.
Receive payment or obtain credit authorization.
Take inventory of stock.
Advise customers on substituting or modifying parts when identical replacements are unavailable.
Examine returned parts for defects, and defective exchange parts or refund money.
Observes and comply with all provisions of the ISO 90001 QMS.
Observes and comply with all safety rules, including the use of PPE.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma and one year's related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
